Point Piños Lighthouse |

 The oldest active lighthouse on the West Coast is located right next to our Lodge. Nearly 140 years ago, the huge light at Point Piños warned the ships that the entrance to Monterey Bay was a dangerous place. Pinos has shone since 1855 and the building, third-order lens and prisms of the light are all original. |

Monarch Grove Sanctuary |

 October through mid-February, thousands of brightly colored monarchs arrive to pass the winter, clustering on the pines and eucalyptus trees that cover this woodland located just a block from the Suites. |
